TOPEKA (KSNT) – Officials with the Topeka Rescue Mission (TRM) joined the 27 News morning show Friday to talk about the upcoming Night of Praise event.
Staff with the TRM are getting ready to hold the fourth annual Night of Praise in Topeka at a local church next month. TRM officials La Manda Cunningham and Jessyca Moreno talked with 27 News Anchor David George about the event and what people can expect to get out of it.
“So, we’re gonna do things a little bit different this year,” Cunningham said. “We are going to have a video segment where we are updating on a couple of people that were highlighted in previous years at Night of Praise, so we’re really excited about that. But then we’re actually gonna have extra vulnerability, and I don’t want to say a whole lot, but there’s gonna be an in-person testimony by over 20 individuals that also requires the audience’s engagement.”
Night of Praise is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 at Fairlawn Nazarene Church located at 730 SW Fairlawn Road in west Topeka. You can learn more about the Night of Praise event by clicking here.
