TOPEKA (KSNT) – Road work crews have shut down a road west of Topeka in the Sherwood Lake area as part of an ongoing project.
Shawnee County spokeswoman Amanda Monhollon said workers have shut down the intersection of Southwest 37th Street and Southwest Nottingham Road. She said the area will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Monhollon said work will continue on this project from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 6-7 on Southwest 37th Street between Southwest Nottingham Road and Southwest Stonybrook Drive.
Rains top off reservoirs in northeast Kansas
Drivers can expect the road work project area to reopen at the end of each workday. County officials encourage people to plan for additional travel time and to be cautious when driving around the project area while it is ongoing.
