KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 52-year-old woman was killed after losing control of her SUV and crashing Monday morning while exiting Interstate 35 in Johnson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash was reported about 10 a.m. Monday on the I-35 northbound ramp to West 75th Street in Overland Park.
The victim, who was driving a Chevrolet Suburban, was on the ramp to 75th Street when she went off the road and hit a guardrail, the highway patrol said in a crash report.
The SUV then continued across the 75th Street intersection and hit several medians before coming to a stop in a ditch.
The driver, identified as Angela Carter, of Olathe, was pronounced dead.
The highway patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
