TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas State Treasurer Steven Johnson stopped by the 27 News studio to talk about the upcoming Women & Money Conference.
The Women & Money Conference is an annual event that will be held at 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7. The conference brings women together for expert-led sessions, real conversations and practical tools.
Johnson said the goal is to provide a forum where women can get answers about money questions.
“Whether it starts with budgeting, whether it’s looking at insurance planning, whether it’s trying to evaluate investment options, any of those details,” Johnson said. “We want to just provide a forum where people can get safe answers.”
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference, New York Times Best-Selling Author and daughter of Dave Ramsey, is Rachel Cruze. Alongside her, Johnson said there was a strong panel of financial experts looking to answer questions.
The event will be hosted inside the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas Conference Center. This is the first time it’s been hosted in Lawrence and Johnson emphasized to be prepared for parking.
