TOPEKA (KSNT) – State troopers report three vehicles, including a school bus, were involved in a Thursday morning crash in eastern Shawnee County.
Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) personnel said the crash occurred shortly after 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 8 just west of where Herschell Road meets Highway 40. The crash involved three vehicles: a 2024 GMC G3500, a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 and a school bus.
KHP personnel said the school bus had stopped to allow children onto the vehicle. The driver of the Dodge came to a stop behind the school bus. The driver of the GMC then rear-ended the Dodge, pushing the Dodge into the school bus.
Both the Dodge and the GMC became disabled in the roadway due to the crash, according to the KHP. No injuries were reported in connection to this incident.
