TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas transportation authorities will be temporarily closing three I-70 ramps in Shawnee County starting on Monday next week.
Kate Craft with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) said in a press release that workers will be shutting down three I-70 ramps temporarily as part of an ongoing pavement project. These ramp closures include:
- The I-70 west exit ramp to K-4/Auburn Road. Drivers will be directed to take a detour to Valencia Road, to eastbound I-70 and back to the K-4/Auburn Road exit.
- The Patton Road entrance ramp onto westbound I-70. KDOT will set up a detour to direct traffic to K-4/Auburn Road and the westbound I-70 on-ramp.
- The Valencia Road entrance ramp leading to westbound I-70. Drivers will be directed to a detour route to eastbound I-70, then to K-4/Auburn Road and to the westbound I-70 on-ramp.
Craft said all ramps are set to be closed through Friday, Nov. 6. Drivers are encouraged to follow the detour routes or use alternative routes to get around the temporary closures.
