WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — President Donald Trump has rescheduled back-to-back campaign rallies in Iowa and Kansas on Sunday.
The Kansas visit will happen at Salina Regional Airport, according to Kasey Windhorst, communications manager.
“Yes, we can confirm that the President’s visit to Salina has been rescheduled for Sunday,” she told KSN in an emailed statement.
New poll shows Hamilton leading Marshall in tight Kansas Senate race
The rally was originally scheduled for Saturday. But on Thursday, plans shifted so that Trump would instead do a “72-hour sprint” of phone rallies, intended to reach more voters nationwide, according to the Republican National Committee.
Kansas and Iowa are home to battleground Senate races that will help determine whether Republicans hold onto their majority in the chamber in the midterm elections.
Trump has already traveled to both states this month to boost GOP Sen. Roger Marshall in Kansas and Republican Iowa Senate candidate Ashley Hinson, who currently serves in the House.
Those stops were among the 25 rallies that the president has headlined so far in October.
Now that the Salina rally is back on, you can RSVP online. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and the rally starts at 5:30 p.m. The president is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m.
