What We’re Tracking
- Rain late Friday
- Saturday evening mostly dry
- Cooler next week
Rain is moving back into northeast Kansas, bringing another round of widespread showers and thunderstorms tonight, some of which could produce heavy rainfall. We’ll need to keep a close eye on flooding concerns, as last night’s rain left the ground saturated and more heavy rain could quickly lead to water issues in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Rain is expected to linger into Saturday morning before gradually clearing out. At this point, Halloween evening looks mainly dry, but a brief shower or two cannot be completely ruled out. High temperatures Saturday will reach the upper 60s.
Sunday stays dry with afternoon highs in the lower 70s. Don’t forget to set your clocks back before bed Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end and we get that extra hour of sleep back.
Looking ahead, another system is expected to arrive late Sunday night into Monday and may last through Tuesday, bringing additional rain chances along with cooler temperatures. Morning lows will drop back into the 40s, while afternoon highs remain in the 60s. It seems that after Tuesday we will return to another consistent pattern, this time in the middle to upper 60s most of next week.
