What We’re Tracking
- Saturday evening mostly dry
- A stray shower cannot be ruled out
- Cooler next week
Happy Halloween!
Rain has continued to linger over Halloween morning as generally light and widespread precipitation is noticeable in most of the area. Temperatures starting out in the lower 60s will warm only into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Rain chances persist throughout the morning and into the afternoon. We will see the rain transition from large areas of light rainfall to a few more concentrated showers as the day progresses.

Drier conditions will begin to move in as we get into the afternoon timeframe. Rain will continue to stick around for a lot of us in the form of scattered showers, which will become less and less frequent throughout the evening. By 7pm or so we expect to see mostly dry weather with perhaps a county or two seeing an isolated storm. A rain jacket might be a good idea, but this amount of rain will likely not ruin your whole night of trick-or-treating.
Sunday stays dry with afternoon highs in the lower 70s. Don’t forget to set your clocks back before bed Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end and we get that extra hour of sleep back.
Looking ahead, another system is expected to arrive late Sunday night into Monday and will last through Tuesday, bringing additional rain chances along with cooler temperatures. Morning lows will drop back into the 40s, while afternoon highs remain in the 60s. It seems that after Tuesday we will return to another consistent pattern, this time in the middle to upper 60s most of next week.
