MAYETTA (KSNT) – More than a dozen food trucks will gather in Mayetta for a festival in the works, courtesy of an area casino.

Prairie Band Casino & Resort is the place to be for local food truck lovers in northeast Kansas this April. The casino is hosting 14 food trucks along with two bands in a festival that is open to people of all ages.

You might recognize some of the food trucks from the streets of Topeka. The full list includes:

  • Poppin Squeeze
  • Soul Fire Foods
  • Bobby’s Food Co.
  • Dj’s Catering
  • KS Snack Shack
  • 451 Pizza
  • Poppin Minis
  • Hook & Que
  • Ghost Bear Beverage & Eatery
  • LaCreperie Co.
  • Pineapple Dream
  • Prairie Band Potawatomi Boys & Girls Club
  • El Zocalo

Guests can also expect to hear live music from “Big Rick and Soul’d Out Band” from noon to 2 p.m. and “Lyin’ Eyes-Eagles Tribute” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the day of the event. People will also have the chance to vote on their favorite food truck while at the festival.

The Food Truck Festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Prairie Band Casino & Resort at 12305 150th Road. Learn more about how to participate by clicking here.
