BROWN COUNTY (KSNT) – A former official with a northeast Kansas Native American tribe is under arrest Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff John Merchant with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that a search warrant was used around 3 p.m. on April 25 for a home in the 1100 block of Holden Eagle Road on the Kickapoo Reservation. As a result, former Chairman of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas Lester Randall, was arrested on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.

The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted with the execution of the search warrant. The investigation into this is ongoing.
