House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is fighting back against the budget bill proposed by Republicans, claiming it will hurt children, seniors, families, women, people with disabilities, and veterans.

The New York Democrat proposed an amendment designed to block the bill while testifying before the Rules Committee.

“If enacted, the GOP Tax Scam would represent the largest cut to healthcare in American history and the largest cut to nutritional assistance in American history in order to provide the largest tax breaks to billionaires like Elon Musk in American history,” said Jeffries.
