A reporter on Monday asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt whether President Donald Trump supported the idea of assassinating Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reported Mediaite.

“On regime change, that question of — if the president was supporting that idea of having Iran’s supreme leader assassinated, he’s now floating his idea of regime change. Is that an idea that he would consider?” a journalist asked Leavitt, to which she responded, “I’m not going to get ahead of the president. I just explained his Truth [Social post] to you last night.”

Khamenei on Monday said Iran would not tolerate “harassment” and “not surrender to any aggression.”
