Bill Forces AG to Detail Border Enforcement

A new bill could force Attorney General Merrick Garland to detail how the surge of illegal migrants at the southern border is affecting law enforcement around the nation.

According to the Washington Examiner, the legislation introduced Monday by Rep. Anthony D’Esposito, R-N.Y. — the Police Our Border Act — would require the AG to submit a report to Congress detailing the effects the border crisis has had on law enforcement at the national, state, and local levels.

The bill is expected to be considered by the House Judiciary Committee and then brought to the floor next month during National Police Week.
