DOJ Issues Guidance on Trump’s English Language Order

President Donald Trump’s executive order establishing English as America’s official language is being implemented by the Justice Department.

The Justice Department announced Monday it will lead a coordinated effort across federal agencies to minimize nonessential multilingual services, redirect resources toward English-language education and assimilation, and ensure legal compliance with the executive order through targeted measures where necessary.

“English is the official language of the United States,” Attorney General Pam Bondi in her department’s release. “The Department of Justice will lead the effort to codify the President’s Executive Order and eliminate wasteful virtue-signaling policies across government agencies to promote assimilation over division.”
