The Food and Drug Administration has increased the risk level associated with a recent butter recall.
The risk classification for nearly 65,000 pounds of butter produced by Bunge North America, based in Chesterfield, Missouri, is at Class II. That’s the FDA’s second-highest warning.
The recall was originally issued in mid-July over a labeling issue that didn’t specify the potential of milk products being used in production.
