House Republicans are investigating New York Gov. Kathy Hochul for “abuse of federal taxpayer funds,” reports the New York Post.
Hochul, according to the lawmakers, allegedly withheld Medicaid funding to plug a billion-dollar hole in the state’s budget.
“This fiscal cover-up has forced local governments to increase property taxes and cut local services,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.; Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.; Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y.; and Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., wrote in a letter to Hochul demanding records about the alleged abuse.
