Trump trade czar Peter Navarro on Wednesday called Jerome Powell the “worst Fed chair in history.”

“All I want is a Fed chair who understands how economies work, and Powell ain’t that,” Navarro said at the Hill Nation Summit. “We’re in the endgame now for Powell.”

President Donald Trump has railed against Powell for months for not lowering the U.S. central bank’s benchmark interest rate.
