Rep. Kustoff to Newsmax: Schumer Using ‘Stall Tactic’ on Megabill

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is “trying to use every stall tactic that he can” to delay the vote on President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill,” including forcing a full reading of the 900-plus page text of the legislation that began Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning, Rep. David Kustoff said on Newsmax.

“What they want to do is try to derail the Trump agenda,” the Tennessee Republican told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America Weekend” on Sunday. “The ‘one big beautiful bill’ is everything that Donald Trump campaigned on in 2024.”

Trump has said he wants the bill on his desk by July 4, but Schumer’s push to have the bill read out loud stalls the House from being able to vote on what the Senate returns to it, said Kustoff.
