In the wake of a mass shooting in New York City that killed four people, Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said “idiot control” is needed rather than gun control.
“All you can do in a time like this is be sorry,” Kennedy said in an interview shortly after the shootings.
Monday, a man stalked through a Manhattan office tower firing a rifle killing four people, including a New York City police officer, and wounding a fifth before taking his own life, officials said. The shooting took place at a skyscraper that is home to the headquarters of both the National Football League and Blackstone, one of the world’s largest investment firms, among other tenants.
