Sen. McCormick, Gov. Shapiro Celebrate $92B Pa. Energy-AI Investment

Sen. Dave McCormick, R-Pa., and Pennsylvania Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro on Tuesday joined together to announce a $92 billion investment in the state’s energy infrastructure and artificial intelligence companies based in the Keystone State.

During a summit focused on energy and AI at Carnegie University in Pittsburgh, McCormick and Shapiro were joined onstage by President Donald Trump and multiple business leaders to make the announcement, which includes deals to expand hydropower, gas pipelines, and AI development.

“This is a triumphant day for the people of the commonwealth and the people of America,” Trump said during the event. “We have the hottest country, and we’re going to keep it that way. Today’s commitments are ensuring that the future is designed, built and made right here in Pennsylvania and right here in Pittsburgh.”
