Senate Dems, Super PAC Plan $300M Ad Blitz to Keep Majority

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and a key party super PAC will be spending more than $300 million in the coming months to help Democrats maintain their hold of the Senate.

Democrats have a 51-49 majority, but the ground is shaky with Republicans in strong position to take seats in West Virginia, Montana, Ohio and Arizona. The GOP also has outside shots at victories in Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The DSCC is planning on spending $79 million on TV, radio and digital advertising in nine states, Politico reported Tuesday. The Senate Majority super PAC plans to spend $239 million to help preserve the party’s majority.
