President Donald Trump said he supports charges being filed against Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., who is accused of assaulting a police officer while visiting an immigration detention center in Newark.

“Oh, give me a break. Did you see her? She was out of control,” Trump said while at the Capitol. “The days of woke are over. That woman — I have no idea who she is. That woman was out of control. She was shoving federal agents — she was out of control. The days of that crap are over in this country. We’re going to have law and order.”

The Department of Justice charged McIver with assaulting, resisting, and impeding law enforcement officers.
