Trump’s Classified Docs Trial Is Indefinitely Delayed

A federal judge on Tuesday decided to indefinitely postpone the criminal classified documents trial of former President Donald Trump, CNBC is reporting.

The new organization cited a court filing.

The trial, rooted in charges that Trump willfully retained classified national security records after he left the White House and subsequently hid them from federal authorities, had been set to begin on May 20. But U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon wrote in Tuesday’s court order that it “would be imprudent” to finalize a trial date “at this juncture.”
